One of the tests we always do is the ECVO eye examination, so today we all had to pile into the car again.

June 11, 2023
It’s slowly getting to the point where the puppies are ready to fly the nest. We’re all brave enough to take on anything together #wegtent.
9 June 2023
Today is temperament test day. Everyone is on tenterhooks, because the new puppy owners will now find out which puppy is theirs!
Week 7
6 June 2023
All together in the car, off to the vet for a titer test.
4 June 2023
How much fun can the puppies have with a simple stool? #morningexercise.
Week 6
2 June 2023
How time flies—already 6 weeks!
31 May 2023
Now that we’ve got to know our own garden, it’s time to explore the world outside together with Mum.
Week 5
May 25, 2023
The microchipper came by today.
23 May 2023
Big enough for each one to eat from their own bowl.
May 21, 2023
Photo report of the puppies playing outside in the garden
Week 4
19 May 2023
Today they’re 4 weeks old—time for portrait photos!
15 May 2023
After the tartare, we move on to 'solid food'. Listen to those little mush monsters munching away.
Week 3
May 12, 2023
For the first time, we’re having something other than mother’s milk: tartare! What a treat!
10 May 2023
The whelping box has been replaced with a puppy pen, giving Mum more room to move around. She keeps a close eye on her surroundings, including a visiting squirrel.
Week 2
5 May 2023
All of them have their eyes open now; their ears will have to wait a little longer. Aren’t they adorable!
May 3, 2023
We’re slowly starting to walk around and explore.
Week 1
27 April 2023
The puppies are all growing really well, and Mum is doing well too. Nieve is taking it easy, lying on her back while feeding the puppies. When the 'milk bar' opens, the whole house gets to enjoy the lovely sounds! But when they’re asleep, they’re completely silent.
22 April 2023
Today we're one day old, so it's time to take a first portrait photo of each puppy.
The birth
April 21, 2023
Nieve has given birth to the puppies conceived by AI. We were quite surprised there were 7, since the ultrasound showed 5, perhaps 6 puppies. The more, the merrier! 1. Gonnagitcha's Mero = grouper > male (blue)
2. Gonnagitcha's Rutilo = roach > male (green)
3. Gonnagitcha's Caballa = mackerel > female (pink)
4. Gonnagitcha's Tenca = tench > bitch (purple)
5. Gonnagitcha's Morena = moray eel > female (orange)
6. Gonnagitcha's Solla = sole > female (gold)
7. Gonnagitcha's Lucio = pike > male (red)
Pregnancy
19 April 2023 - big belly (day 59)
We wait with bated breath to see what nature has in store for us!
A fun fact is the change in her body during pregnancy: 19-2-'23 (start): weight 18.5 kg and abdominal circumference 45 cm
- 19-4-'23: weight of 23.5 kg and a belly circumference of 62 cm
April 11, 2023 - big belly (day 51)
Her belly is already growing nicely. When Nieve is resting, we can already see the puppies moving well ;)
March 22, 2023 - ultrasound (day 31)
Gonnagitcha's Nieve is pregnant. The vet counted 5 puppies. Since the puppies are only 2 cm long, counting is always difficult, so this number isn't guaranteed. The birth will tell; patience is a virtue, as they say.
February 19, 2023 - Mating
